We Empower Independence

FMRC Provides High-Quality Services For Adults With Developmental Disabilities.

What Is CFS?

CFS is a new service option specifically designed for adults who are 18 years and older who:

  • Choose to live in their family home
  • Are served by a regional center

CFS providers will prepare a service plan designed to help reduce or remove barriers to staying in the family home, address challenges and meet goals. Services will be provided in a manner that respects the language & culture of individuals and their families, and services will be tailored, individualized, and flexible to meet the changing needs and preferences of individuals.

CFS provides assistance with the coordination of services and supports that allow adults to continue living in their family home such as:

Skill Development

Developing skills in the home is important because it promotes independence, fosters self-confidence, and enhances overall quality of life.

Coordinating Services

Coordinating and delivering services, including assistance with "generic services," is important because it ensures comprehensive support tailored to individual needs, promotes efficiency, and maximizes access to essential resources.

Community Access

Helping adults with developmental disabilities access their community is important because it promotes social inclusion, enhances quality of life, and fosters independence.
